The Other Africa About the Author

Philippe Sibelly was born in 1971, in Marseille. He moved to Sydney, Australia in 1991, in search of adventure. He stayed there for seven years living of casual jobs and taking many photos. In 1998 he relocated to Dublin, Ireland, completing the entire journey from Sydney to Dublin overland. There he graduated with a degree in photography from the Dunlaoghaire Institute of Arts. In 2004 he moved to London where he has completed a post graduate certificate in education (PGCE) in art & design, at the Institute of Education, London University. He now lives in South London with his Irish partner and their 'British' kids.
